    • Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse (2018): Grieving Shopkeeper. Stan's first cameo to appear after he died, this serves as a note-perfect representation of Stan's persona, the sage-like voice of generations mixed with a carnival huckster.
    • Fantastic Four (2005): Willie Lumpkin. The only cameo appearance in which Stan plays a character he co-created, the Fantastic Four's mailman, Willie Lumpkin.
    • Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer (2007): Wedding Crasher. This bit, in which Stan is kept out of Reed and Sue's wedding, is a fun recreation of a similar bit in Fantastic Four Annual #3, in which the comic book Stan Lee and Fantastic Four co-author Jack Kirby are similarly barred entry.
    • Guardians of the Galaxy, vol. 2: Lost Astronaut. Lee appears twice in this one, both during the movie and in a post-credits scene, as he's briefly seen recounting his cameo exploits to the Watchers, the ancient alien race of cosmic observers whom the real Stan Lee co-created in the comics.

Stan Lee is an American hero. He created the heroes that people needed at the time they needed them. Captain America during World War II and Iron Man during Vietnam, plus Spider-Man, who appealed to teens and kids who felt like they wouldn't amount to anything special. Adults and kids everywhere were impacted by these characters, and so many contin...

When the first Avengers was announced, it was every fanboy's dream come true. No one had ever thought that we'd be able to have an Avengers film, much less have the perfect cast that embodied these characters so well. Stan's cameo in the film is one of my personal favorites, just because of the level of irony it contains. After the Battle of New Yo...

In The Amazing Spider-Man 2, Peter Parker is attempting to juggle more than he can actually handle. He's supposed to be at graduation, but instead he's taking down some bad guys. Hey, some people prefer coffee to start their morning and others prefer a beat-down. As he arrives (late) to the ceremony, he pulls off his Spidey costume and throws on th...

What's funnier than bad guys calling Spider-Man a punk? Stan Lee calling Spider-Man a punk. Spidey was Stan's prize creation, almost like if Frankenstein's monster had been treasured instead of feared. When Spidey is swinging around the neighborhood, trying to do good and keep people safe, he thinks he's found a car thief. Turns out, the guy had ju...

Spider-Man was probably the most exciting, surprising, impressive game that released in 2018. It was immersive and had more Easter Eggs than the entire MCU put together. What made the game perfect, however, was the appearance of Spidey's creator Stan Lee. In the game, Peter is juggling his job as Dr. Octavius' partner, being Spider-Man, volunteerin...

Captain America: Civil War was a plethora of emotions. We saw the government doing what the government does best: give an ultimatum while accusing the Avengers of the very thing America is guilty of doing daily. This causes a rift which tears our heroes apart. Friend turned on friend, bonds were broken. If that wasn't bad enough, we learned that Bu...

While many people would argue that Apocalypse was one of the weakest entries in the long-running X-Men series, there were still many powerful elements that helped the film, including Stan Lee's cameo. As Charles Xavier uses Cerebro to try to find his old friend Erik Lehnsherr, Apocalypse uses his power to get inside Charles' head and inside Cerebro...

Who doesn't love the Clerks series? Mallrats is probably one of the most loved entries in Kevin Smith's View-Askewniverse, not only for its story and humor and honesty, but also because of Stan Lee's beautifully moving cameo. Brodie recently had a break up and was feeling down. He did love the girl but he also loved his comics. It was a literal str...

Into the Spiderverse broke a lot of rules, one of them being "Superhero movies can't win Academy Awards." It won Best Animated Feature and attempted an animation style not seen since A Scanner Darkly. Into the Spiderversetook huge risks, but they paid off in the end. Early in the film, the Spider-Man we know is killed, and Miles Morales witnessed i...

I know, this isn't technicallya cameo, per se, but it is a beautiful tribute to a beautiful soul. The logo montage spans nearly every cameo Stan made throughout the MCU, but, if you look closely, you'll see some other fascinating moments: Stan doing the Spider-Man pose, taking pictures with Robert Downey, Jr. at Comic-Con, and talking to several ot...

  5. Jun 20, 2019 · Black Panther. Lee's cameos were always the most entertaining when they would sneak up on you. Black Panther has one of the best of these kinds of cameos as Lee showed up in the middle of the famous Busan casino scene. T'Challa and his team are there to capture Klaue, only to find that Everett Ross and the CIA have the same idea.

  6. The following is a list of cameo appearances by Stan Lee (1922–2018) in Marvel Comics films, television shows and video games. [1] [2] A prolific comic book writer, editor, publisher, and producer, Lee has also had numerous cameos in non-Marvel media.
