More often than not he is, though Taskmaster has taken on multiple Avengers at one time before. There's always an equalizer when your talking S.H.I.E.L.D tech, however.

- Beats: Spoiler. The daughter of the criminal mastermind Cluemaster, Stephanie Brown became the vigilante Spoiler to take down her dad. While she started off self-trained in combat, Spoiler started dating Tim Drake, the third Robin, and has picked up more than a few moves from him.

- Beats: Ra's al Ghul. Sometimes called The Demon's Head, Ra's al Ghul is a master swordsman and fighter, thanks in part to having hundreds of years to practice, all with the help of the Lazarus Pits.

In a universe full of characters with immense power, Taskmaster doesn’t seem like he would be one of Marvel’s top villains, yet he consistently manages to take on beings far stronger than he is. So how does he do it? The comics have the answer.

- Captain America. Taskmaster borrows most heavily from Captain America, wielding a Red Room shield for the first half of Black Widow. It's unlikely the shield is made out of vibranium, although it's still strong.
- Black Panther. During Taskmaster's fight with Alexei, she also briefly mimics Black Panther, extending razor-sharp claws and taking a swipe at his torso.
- Hawkeye. Hawkeye is also a rarely used inspiration for Taskmaster, with her relying on archery skills only once in Black Widow. As Antonia chases down Natasha and Yelena, she uses a combination of Hawkeye and the Winter Soldier's tactics to stop their SUV.
- Black Widow. Black Widow is another big influence on Taskmaster's overall fighting style. Antonia frequently uses Natasha's flexible, lightning-fast technique to bring down enemies.
Taskmaster is the ninth character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe to be depicted as a different gender from her counterpart in the comics, following Jeri Hogarth, the Ancient One, Fenris, Ghost, Mar-Vell, Morgan Stark, Gabriella Rosetti, and Flag Smasher.
Jul 10, 2021 · For years, Marvel comic books have employed Taskmaster as an intimidating force against the likes of Spider-Man and Deadpool. With a skull mask and an impressive power set, Taskmaster makes for some great splash pages in comics. However, the character has also made a splash on the big screen in live-action as one of the adversaries in Black Widow.
