- Ryu. Ever since the 2010s, Ryu has essentially overtaken the mascot spot that Mega Man once had. It's tough to say who is the most iconic fighting game character, but it is probably Ryu.
- Jill Valentine. It's incredibly important to understand why Jill was such an important female character at the time in 1996. The first Resident Evil gave you two characters to pick from.
- Wesker. In terms of what's the best Capcom villain, there are a lot of options. M. Bison is a close second, but the top spot has to go to Wesker. This is a villain who's built up over time, and when he finally gets his resolution in Resident Evil 5, it feels like it could have been the end of the series.
- Chun-Li. Out of every female character in all fighting games, the most iconic and best has to be Chun-Li. She's notable for being a cop who hunts down M. Bison due to him being the one to kill her father.

- Sir Arthur, Ghosts 'N Goblins. Who? And why are they so high on the list? Because this is the hero of one of the toughest, saddest, and most thumb-wrenching games in all of Capcom history, Ghosts n' Goblins.
- Amaterasu, Ōkami. Based on the Japanese goddess Amaterasu, this character has some powers that are indeed otherworldly. According to the game, she was a former resident of the Celestial Plane and descended to earth to battle Orochi, the Eight-Headed Serpent.
- Dante, Devil May Cry. The first video game in this series was released in 2001, and more than 20 years later it's still going strong with a fifth installment released in 2021.
