It has an extra-runny yolk and uses my family's potsticker filling as a wrapper.Food52This fried chicken potstickers recipe is made with homemade wrappers and filling that includes ginger, green onion, chili flakes, chicken broth and soy sauce.Food.comOsenbei or rice cracker is generally made with rice flour, but you can find wheat osenbei as well in Japan. This one is not your usual osenbei or rice cracker you find packaged as it uses spring roll wrappers. You can also use gyoza, potsticker, or wonton wrappers too. If using wonton wrappers, this recipe makes about 15-16 wrappers. Instead of the bigger egg roll wrappers I prefer wonton wrappers for the ease of eating by hand. In place of crab, you can also substitute canned tuna as well. The topping can be prepared ahead of time but spread on the spring roll wrappers just before baking and serving. Original recipe comes from Shunju Restaurant in Tokyo, Japan.YummlySatisfying, slurpable wonton soup is a classic Cantonese dish that you need in your repertoire! While traditional wonton soup uses dried shrimp for umami, this version goes with a bit of readily available oyster sauce. Store-bought wonton wrappers and broth make it easy to whip up the heartwarming soup. Look for square wonton wrappers (round wrappers are meant for potsticker-style dumplings). If the wrappers come frozen, defrost them for about 2 hours at room temperature. The recipe is a Yummly original created by [Diana Kuan](https://www.yummly.com/dish/author/diana-kuan).Food52I have been having something of an obsession lately with the continent of Asia and the wonderful array of foods that have come out of it. Lately, I have been trying to create my own renditions of either Chinese or Thai dishes that I have been fortunate to sample in NYC and London. Dumplings/potstickers are one of the many dishes stealing my fancy right now. I love how so many different cultures have a filled type of pasta. I also love how they are little pillows waiting to be pieces and dipped into waiting sauces. They can be a meal or a snack. They can be boiled, steamed, baked (in some instances), and fried. I wanted to make these vegan but came up short when searching for a vegan wonton wrapper. I know I could have made my own dough just as easily with a whole grain flour and water but I was starving and couldn’t be bothered with the whole dough making process. My market only has a wonton wrapper that among other things contains eggs. I am sure that if I had gone to an Asian market or searched around some more I may have found the wrappers I wanted. Feel free to suggest a vegan brand if you know of one! I was really happy with the way that these came out and even more excited that I got to use my sister’s potsticker/empanada molder. A similar mold can be purchased on Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/Kuchenprofi-Ravioli-Pierogi-Dumpling-Maker/dp/B0009Q2L5M/ref=cm_cr_pr_product_top I hope you enjoy these as much I have. This recipe was also featured on my “alma mater’s” website within their March 2009 newsletter. I owe most of my insight on nutrition and it’s link to the body and overall happiness to the esteemed Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC, its founder Joshua Rosenthal, its teachers, and my fellow classmates and alumni(http://integrativenutrition.com).AllrecipesAn authentic potsticker recipe using ground beef and ground shrimp instead of the usual pork filling. You can fill the whole package of gyoza wrappers and have filling left over for next time around.YummlyPot Stickers With Potsticker Wrappers, Water, Vegetable Oil, Ground Pork, Napa Cabbage, Salt, Green Onions, Ginger, Garlic Cloves, Large Egg Yolk, Soy Sauce, Toasted Sesame Oil, Asian Chili Sauce, PepperFood.comMy favorite recipe for delicious Asian dumplings. This is Tyler Florence's recipe, but I like to tweak it to make it my own sometimes... Add minced shitakes, more shrimp and less pork, a dollop of chili paste, scallions- whatever! Enjoy! (I love to use my recipe #312966 for this recipe!) ***In addition to the items below, you will need one package of 24 potsticker wrappers (wonton wrappers also work well) found in the Asian food section of most supermarkets. --Zaar was not recognizing this ingredient so I thought I'd note it here!
