Seasons 1 - 4 are consistently excellent every episode. Seasons 5 - 7 are alright. They have their fair share of standout episodes, but no episodes that are downright bad. Seasons 8 - 10 are less good. On rare occasions there are some fairly solid episodes, but the majority are just average at best.
Being successful enough to run for a whole eleven seasons, Modern Family sits alongside shows like The Office that fans consistently return to because of its innate rewatchability.
