May 23, 2020 · I have been using LRX bullets in my 7mm RUM for two years now. Have killed whitetail, mule deer, aoudad, axis and pigs with no problems. The farthest any animal has run is maybe 20 yards. Very accurate flat shooting round. Kills out to 400 yards no problem.
May 3, 2023 · They work. The copper is not softer than the TTSX. The LRX's have slighter better BC's for improved velocity retention and less wind drift. In 7mm the 139 gr LRX has the lowest impact velocity (1400 fps) of all the LRX's and TTSX's on the market, sans the .458" 300 gr Socom bullet (1100 fps).

If the LRX doesn't shoot well is doesn't matter how much velocity it retains or how lethal. Jul 22, 2016 · I've had Weatherby and multiple custom rifle makers tell me that the Barnes bullet is their go-to when qualifying rifles for an accuracy guarantee. Whether that guarantee is one MOA or a half-MOA (which I've personally seen many LRX loads achieve) that is a resounding accolade to Barnes bullets.
Dec 1, 2013 · Accuracy was great but terminal performance was lacking. The LRX 175 gr bullet shot to the same point of impact at both 100 and 300 yds and also had great accuracy. I have in the past shot a LOT of critters with both the Barnes TSX & TTSX bullets with excellent results.
