- The 40 Gb model has no backwards compatibility. The 80 and 60 Gb models have bc, but only the Japan and US 60 Gb models have full backwards compatibility. Sony cut it off the later models because they feel it won't sell consoles. So, if you have a US, or JP 60 Gb PS3, you can play Manhunt 2. Other regions, get a PS2.
