Tomoya becomes a better father to Ushio soon afterwards, making happy memories with her. Ushio returns to school and brings Tomoya together with his old friend, Kyou, whose dream was to become a kindergarten teacher during their high school years.
I can't bring myself to say he's a particularly good person or father, but the way the show plays on your expectations of what he is into leading Tomoya down the same (or arguably worse) path when he becomes a father really messed with me, in a good way.

Even after Tomoya uses the light orbs to save Nagisa and Ushio, Naoyuki is never seen, but Tomoya tells that he went back to his hometown. Also, it can obviously be assumed that Tomoya would still reconcile with father and introduce him to his family.
It's not in the show, but in the game side stories one of them takes place after the game/show, he actually talks to nagisas dad, saying it feels like a very vivid dream, where he remembers nagisas and ushio dying, and it's one of the reasons he is very protective of ushio.
Mar 5, 2019 · Having come to terms with his father, Tomoya takes Ushio to visit him. They clean up his place, and Tomoya helps him pack, saying that it’s now okay to step back. Seeing his daughter, Tomoya’s father consents, and the two part ways on amicable terms.
