IU campuses award a variety of scholarships for high academic performance in high school. Awards are given to both Indiana residents and out-of-state IU applicants and are typically renewable for up to four years.
Some IU campuses offer donor-funded scholarships through generous contributions from local businesses, alumni, civic groups, private citizens, and other supporters.
If you’re eligible for scholarships in your department or program, you can complete applications for those awards once you are admitted.

Indiana University Bloomington is a college-sponsor of the National Merit Scholarship Program and sponsored 56 Merit Scholarship awards in 2020. In the 2020–2021 academic year, 68 freshman students were National Merit Scholars .

These competitive, merit-based scholarships typically range from $1,000 to $11,000 per year. The awards are renewable for four years.
