It'd be fair to assume it's a 6-12th school; a joint high school. Pugsley also couldn't go to Nevermore for another reason. This was mid-semester, after the incident shown at the beginning of E1; Wednesday was brought in on account of good grades and familial connections to the school.

One reason could be that Pugsley was underage or he didn’t pour piranhas in a pool to get revenge from some one 🫥. That, and Wednesday only got in mid semester because her grades (and possibly a favor or two called in). Unless the academy has different age requirements, Pugsley can’t be underage.

Yeah I think the actors for Pugsley and Eugene are closer in age. That said Moosa (Eugene) has had a growth spurt and looks much older now, but nothing to say Pugsley’s actor won’t do the same soon.
