The team concluded operations at 3:00 UTC on February 14, 2023, with around 19,000 contacts logged. The team has boarded the S/V Marama and began their journey to Cape Town, South Africa. They expect to arrive by February 23.

Many locations around the world are not often represented on the Amateur Radio bands. Why? Some are hard to get to or dangerous to operate from due to harsh weather. Bouvet Island is a good example. Others are protected areas or spots where Ham Radio is not allowed on a regular basis.
