The fifth season of Chicago P.D., an American police drama television series by executive producer Dick Wolf, premiered on September 27, 2017, and concluded on May 9, 2018. It contained 22 episodes, including the series' 100th. It is the final season featuring Elias Koteas as Alvin Olinsky.
- Homecoming. Tensions run high as Voight takes extreme measures to find justice for Olinsky after he's stabbed in prison, and Woods seeks to take down Voight once and for all.
- Breaking Point. While Intelligence investigates the death of an alderman whose murder may be tied to his neighborhood revitalization efforts, Olinsky feels the heat after receiving an ultimatum from Woods.
- Politics. Voight and Burgess each confront tricky moral gray areas during a murder investigation involving a local congressman who is friends with Voight.
- Fallen. Upton is challenged when a double homicide investigation forces her to work with a vice cop with whom she has a troubled history.
