Alfredo "Al" Septién is an American writer and producer who is currently working on NBC's Midnight, Texas. He is best known for his work on the television series such as WGN America's Salem and The CW's The Vampire Diaries and Smallville.

Biography. Though he went on to write, produce, and direct, Al Septien began working in film and television as an actor. After playing bit parts in several TV shows and B films, Septien moved on to writing in 1994, penning the horror sequel "Leprechaun 2" with his creative collaborator Turi Meyer.
