Anne Hill Carter Lee (March 26, 1773 – June 26, 1829) was the First Lady of Virginia from 1791 to 1794 as the wife of the ninth governor, Henry Lee III. She was the mother of the general-in-chief of the Confederate States of America, Robert E. Lee.

ANN HILL CARTER (1773-1829) married Henry Lee III in 1793; they had five surviving children, with Robert E. Lee the last to be born at Stratford Hall. ANNE MCCARTY LEE (1798 – 1840) married Henry Lee IV in 1817; together they had one daughter, Margaret, who died from a fall down the stairs at the age of two.
