May 29, 2018 · Anne of Denmark (1574–1619), queen of James VI and I. Anne was daughter of Frederick II of Denmark and Norway. The marriage to James VI on 23 November 1589 was followed by her coronation in May 1590.
Sep 16, 2022 · Anne was crowned in Westminster Abbey on 23 April 1702; she was 37 years old. She had married Prince George of Denmark (1653-1708), the son of Frederick III of Denmark (r. 1648-70) on 28 July 1683.
An assertive and shrewd political leader, Queen Anne of Denmark was a keen patron of the arts. In 1594, she married James I of England, at the age of 14. In 1616, she commissioned leading architect, Inigo Jones, to design the Queen's House in Greenwich.

Anne of Denmark ( Danish: Anna; 12 December 1574 – 2 March 1619) was the wife of King James VI and I. She was Queen of Scotland from their marriage on 20 August 1589 and Queen of England and Ireland from the union of the Scottish and English crowns on 24 March 1603 until her death in 1619.
