The Catskill Park consists of 700,000 acres of land inside a blue line in four counties: Delaware, Greene, Sullivan and Ulster. 41 percent is owned by the state as part of the Forest Preserve and 5% is owned by New York City to protect four of the city’s reservoirs that lie partially within the park and their respective watersheds.

Aug 16, 2018 · Catskill Park has many treasures; this mountain is one of the few 3500 foot peaks that can be climbed on a loop trail. Allow five to six hours of strenuous hiking and climbing, and there is really only one incredible view. It is a great hike during all seasons and, during the winter, it makes an ideal snowshoe hike under appropriate conditions.
