Feb 11, 2019 · MORGANTOWN, W.Va. (AP) — Gov. Jim Justice has appointed Charles L. Capito Jr. to the West Virginia University Board of Governors. Capito, a Charleston finance executive, is the husband of Republican U.S. Sen. Shelley Moore Capito. Justice appointed Capito to replace former board Chairman Tom Flaherty, who wasn’t eligible for another term.

In the National Security space, he has significant experience counseling clients on the complex and evolving considerations related to the Committee on Foreign Investment in the United States (CFIUS).

Jim Justice to replace Charleston attorney and former Board Chair Tom Flaherty, who was not eligible for reappointment.
