If you want to do coast beach trails yet its got them. If you want to walk on the cliffs over the ocean and look back at the coast line yet this park has trails for you.
Garrapata State Park is a state park of California, United States, located on California State Route 1 6.7 miles (10.8 km) south of Carmel-by-the-Sea and 18 miles (29 km) north of Big Sur Village on the Monterey coast. The 2,939-acre (1,189 ha) park was established in 1979.
Unspoiled Garrapata State Park is a perfect spot for rugged Big Sur hiking and great ocean fishing. Migrating whales pass by Garrapata State Park's shoreline during winter migrations, and can be seen with the naked eye from Soberanes Point. Garrapata State Park is also a great spot for photography.

The coastline here is some of the most scenic you will see along the Big Sur coast. Soberanes Point to the south. The colorful cliffs of Garrapata to the north. The mighty Pacific Ocean to the west.
