George FitzClarence, 1st Earl of Munster. Earl of Munster is a title that was created twice, once in the Peerage of Ireland and once in the Peerage of the United Kingdom. The first creation came in 1789 in favour of Prince William, the third son of King George III. He was made Duke of Clarence and St Andrews at the same time.

Jan 25, 2022 · Biography. 1st Earl of Munster. George Augustus Frederick FitzClarence was born in 1794. He was the son of William IV Hannover and Dorothea Bland Jordan. Earl of Munster. He was created 1st Earl of Munster, Viscount FitzClarence and Baron Tewkesbury by his father on 4 June 1831, and was made a Privy Councillor in 1833.
Death. FitzClarence died at the age of 48 in London. He was succeeded in the earldom and other titles by his eldest son, William.
