     You'll have to look at the API documentation, which should tell you how to request the data from the service. Without a link to it, we can't help you.

     This should give you a general idea of how to use JSON and APIs with PHP, but if you're looking for a simple pulling mechanism to update the weather on your page, you don't need something that heavy: it doesn't need to be server-side.

     I would recommend going with JavaScript on this one, which would go something like this:

     Well, I'm not a member of the popular here Boost Lovers Club, so here it goes - in raw C++.

     That's obviously if I have understood correctly that you want a method pointer, not a function/static method pointer.

     This is indeed possible in C++, thanks to function pointers. Here's a simple example:

     std::string foo() { return "Foo"; } std::string bar() { return "Bar"; }- int main() { std::map<std::string, std::string (*)()> m; // Map the functions to the names m["foo"] = &foo; m["bar"] = &bar; // Display all of the mapped functions std::map<std::string, std::string (*)()>::const_iterator it = m.begin(); std::map<std::string, std::string (*)()>::const_iterator end = m.end(); while ( it != end ) { std::cout<< it->first <<"\t\"" << (it->second)() <<"\"\n"; ++it; } }

     This gets more tricky when dealing with functions with different return types and arguments. Also, if you are including non-static member functions, you should use Boost.Function.

     The easiest way would be to use boost::function

     :

     It gets slightly more complex if you're using member functions - boost::lambda

     TMX maps can be created using programs like Tiled. It is possible to use 2D maps in Android without using a game engine like AndEngine. However, this means that you will have to write your own code for parsing, displaying, moving and interacting with them. Therefore, it is much simpler to use a game engine which already provides means for you to do this, like AndEngine does. You could also look at libGDX.

     Assuming that you can draw the graphics that you need, the rest is accomplished by defining the "territories".

     A territory will have

     • a name
     • a location (just a simple position would probably suffice, one for each place where you want to draw the key bits of information)
     • a list of neighboring territories
     • any other game-relevant information, such as what units are there, what resources it provides, etc.

     The "hard" bit may be generating the connectivity graph. It's probably easiest to refer to each of your territories by number, as in your second image. Then, the "list of neighboring territories" for territory 14 would be 13, 15, and 23. So don't try to do this automatically, it'll be much easier (as long as the scope doesn't grow too large) to just define this manually.
