Patsy Patterson (May Robson) is an elderly, brash drunk whose unpredictable behavior lands her in a retirement home. Alabam Lee (Carole Lombard) is a fan dancer whose lewd act gets her charged with indecency. In an effort to clean up her image, Alabam's publicist (Raymond Walburn) decides she should "adopt" a mother for Mothers Day, and Alabam picks Patsy.
