  2. There's no swimming in lake quannapowitt. There hasn't been for a good 20 years or so. There used to be 2 public beaches there. One on the north end called colonel Connelly park & one on the southern part of the lake next to the common called Spaulding St beach. Spaulding St beach was closed down in the 80's due to budget cuts.
