The 75-hectare (185 acres) seaside park, in the depths of suburban West Vancouver, has been home to a lighthouse since 1874. The existing structure was built in 1912. The Lighthouse is a National Historic Site and is one of the most photographed and recognizable landmarks in Lower Mainland.
There are thirty lighthouses still standing proud in Florida. Most of these have been lovingly preserved and several have undergone complete restoration. Some lighthouses in Florida invite visitors to climb their spiraling staircases and take in the dazzling view from their lofty lanterns.
Located in Lighthouse Park, the Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum offers climbing tours of the landmark 1860 lighthouse. Outdoor exhibits include the Oil House & Keepers Workshop Exhibit, Tindall Pioneer Homestead, and Seminole Chickee. Self-guided tours in English, French, & Spanish are available! Docent led tours are available Tuesday - Friday.
