Nov 11, 2022 · “Mandrake” is a dark horror film with a gloomy undertone and grim storyline. It has a great storyline with a flavor of folklore, but it needs to be told slowly. Personally, I found the movie to be captivating at first but lost interest at the end. The plot lines were scattered, and the ending of “Mandrake” seemed a little hurried.
Visually then "Mandrake" is low-key, but it works so well, because the effects are realistic, dark, brooding and have a somewhat ominous feel to them. And that works quite well in favor of the movie, adding a lot of atmosphere in the scenes. While the movie's storyline was somewhat going above my head, then "Mandrake" was an interesting movie.

Nov 8, 2022 · MANDRAKE is a new Shudder horror movie from the UK, which is the perfect setting. Especially since the plot is based on folk horror and has a crime drama driving the plot forward. The cast does a good job and there is a lot of positive to be said about parts of the movie. As a whole, however, the story is was drags it down.
