Mondaire Lamar Jones (born May 18, 1987) is an American lawyer and politician who was the U.S. representative for New York's 17th congressional district from 2021 to 2023. The district included most of central and northwestern Westchester County and all of Rockland County .
A product of East Ramapo public schools, Mondaire was raised in Section 8 housing and on food stamps in Spring Valley by a single mom who worked multiple jobs to provide for their family. When child care was too expensive, Mondaire’s grandmother took him to work with her cleaning homes in Hillcrest and Congers.
