Patrick Joseph Buchanan ( / bjuːˈkænən /; born November 2, 1938) is an American paleoconservative author, political commentator, columnist, politician, and broadcaster. Buchanan was an assistant and special consultant to U.S. Presidents Richard Nixon, Gerald Ford, and Ronald Reagan. [1]
