Sir Patrick Alfred Caldwell-Moore CBE HonFRS FRAS [a] ( / ˈkɔːldwɛl /; 4 March 1923 – 9 December 2012 [1]) was an English amateur astronomer who attained prominence in that field as a writer, researcher, radio commentator and television presenter. [2] [3] [4] He was also a minor politician.
Patrick Albert Moore (born June 15, 1947) is a Canadian industry consultant, former activist, an early member and past president of Greenpeace Canada. Since leaving Greenpeace in 1986, Moore has criticized the environmental movement for what he sees as scare tactics and disinformation, saying that the environmental movement "abandoned science and logic in favor of emotion and sensationalism".
