Feb 15, 2021 · Pocahontas (l. c. 1596-1617, also known as Amonute, Matoaka) was the daughter of Wahunsenacah (l. c. 1547 - c. 1618, also known as Chief Powhatan ), leader of the Powhatan Confederacy in the region of modern-day Virginia, United States. She was a citizen of the Mattaponi-Pamunkey Nation who were members of the confederacy.
Pocahontas is a leader of the Powhatan Tribe, of which her father is the chief. She finds the courage to choose the right path, even when it’s not the easiest, and discovers that true kindness is walking the footsteps of a stranger. She is noble, free-spirited, and highly spiritual, lovingly nicknamed “Little Mischief” by her father.
