Coordinates: 38°0′25″N 78°23′51″W. Clifton is a historic home located near Shadwell, Albemarle County, Virginia. It was built about 1800, and is a large, rambling two-story, five-bay, wood frame dwelling. The house has later 19th- and 20th-century Colonial Revival -style additions and alterations.
