Sleeping Giant Provincial Park, established in 1944 as Sibley Provincial Park and renamed in 1988, is a 244-square-kilometre (94 sq mi) park located on the Sibley Peninsula in Northwestern Ontario, east of Thunder Bay.
Sleeping Giant Provincial Park has over 100 kilometres of trails that lead hikers along the rugged shoreline of Lake Superior, past towering cliffs, to scenic vistas on top of the Giant, and to quiet lakes and streams deep within the park’s wilderness areas.
Sleeping Giant Provincial Park is located on the Sibley Peninsula in Northwestern Ontario. The park has over 100 km of incredible year-round hiking trails and offers many opportunities for birding. The park is open in the winter for hiking, snowshoeing, cabin rentals, and backcountry camping.
