Stortorget (Swedish: [ˈstûːˌʈɔrjɛt], "the Grand Square") is a public square in Gamla Stan, the old town in central Stockholm, Sweden. It is the oldest square in Stockholm, the historical centre on which the medieval urban conglomeration gradually came into being. [1]

Stortorget is the main public square located in Gamla Stan, central Stockholm. This is the oldest square in the city, dating back as far as approximately 1420. It’s a very charming, picturesque area. We went in the cold of winter, which afforded us the opportunity to visit their Christmas village.
