Biografi. S var son till den Folke jarl som 1210 stupade i slaget vid Gestilren och efter vilken den partipolitiska fraktionen ”folkungarna” namngivits. Det var under medeltiden en beteckning som flera av Folke jarls anhängare och släktingar gick under i krönikelitteratur och annaler.
Sune Folkesson, död 1247, var son till Folke jarl. Han var gift med Helena Sverkersdotter , dotter till Sverker den yngre . Uppgiften i Västgötalagens kungalängd att Sverker dödades av sin måg har lett till antaganden att Sune var den som dödande honom, men detta skulle också kunna syfta på fadern Folke.

Dec 10, 2020 · Benedicta was the daughter of Princess Helen and Sune Folkesson and thereby sister of Queen Catherine of Sweden. Benedicta was placed in Vreta Abbey for her education. In 1244, she was abducted by Lars Petersson or Laurens Pedersson, Justiciar of Östergötland, with whom she traveled to Norway.
