Tirana (albánsky Tiranë, v gegském dialektu Tirona/Tiron) je hlavní a největší město Albánie. Podle oficiálních údajů rychle roste a žije zde 557 422 obyvatel (2015). [1] Hlavním městem státu je od roku 1920 [2] , do té doby tuto funkci plnil Drač (Durrës), se kterým dnes tvoří prakticky jednu souměstskou aglomeraci [3] .
