    Tom Coughlin. Thomas Richard Coughlin ( / ˈkɒflɪn / KOF-lin; born August 31, 1946) is an American former football coach and executive. He was the head coach for the New York Giants from 2004 to 2015. He led the Giants to victory in Super Bowl XLII and Super Bowl XLVI, both times against the New England Patriots.
