The usual lengths are 10 to 12 feet with floating line. The setup uses a sliding float, weight, and a 2-foot leader tied to the bait or lure. Use a bobber stop to set the sliding float at a specific depth. The fish are usually at a certain depth, so the more time your bait is in their face, the better.
