May 4, 2024 · I think you’re mixing up the UK “Essex” 60 degree V6 with the US “Essex” 90 degree 3.8L V6. The former was never offered in any US Ford; the 3.8L V6 very much was available in Mustangs. Here’s a screenshot from the ’86 Mustang brochure.
