With Marvel vs, i think it’s less what happened to capcom and more what happened to Marvel. Marvel became the biggest IP in the world over the last 10 years. I think capcom would have LOVED to make an Mvc5 and ride that wave but marvel now had something to lose, they were struggling before, selling off rights left and right.
