The museum collections of the Wisconsin Historical Society contain more than 110,000 historical objects and about half a million archaeological artifacts documenting the history of Wisconsin from pre-historic times to the present.
On 3 medium-sized floors, this museum presents the human history of Wisconsin, with one whole floor dedicated to the indigenous peoples, including both pre-contact and post-contact, and two devoted to the history of Euro-Americans, Afro-Americans and other groups in the state's modern population.
