May 14, 2018 · Bhutto, Zulfikar Ali (1928–79) Pakistani president (1971–73) and prime minister (1973–77), father of Benazir Bhutto. In 1967 he founded the Pakistan People's Party. In 1970 elections, Bhutto gained a majority in West Pakistan but the Awami League won in East Pakistan.

Zulfikar Ali Bhutto (January 5, 1928 - April 4, 1979) was a Pakistani politician who served as the President of Pakistan from 1971 to 1973, and as Prime Minister from 1973 to 1977. He was the founder of the Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP), the largest and most influential political party of Pakistan.
