The Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts (PAFA) is a museum and private art school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. It was founded in 1805 and is the first and oldest art museum and art school in the United States.

- Benjamin West, Death on a Pale Horse. This is an enormous canvas by West, over 25 x 14 feet. It’s inspired by the biblical passage from the Book of Revelation, which reads: “And I looked, and behold a pale horse: and his name that sat on him was Death, and Hell followed with him.”
