Alexander Richard Pettyfer (born 10 April 1990) is a British actor and model. He appeared in school plays and on television before being cast as Alex Rider, the main character in the 2006 film version of Stormbreaker. Pettyfer was nominated for a Young Artist Award and an Empire Award for his role.

After completing his schooling, he studied at the Sylvia Young Theatre School in London. He made his acting debut playing the lead role in the TV movie ‘Tom Brown’s Schoolboys’. It was an adaptation of the novel of the same name by Thomas Hughes. He next played a role in the film ‘Stormbreaker’.
