Nov 11, 2021 · Aperture is currently only available for long time users, who have updated Aperture to Aperture 3.6, when it came out six years ago, and kept a Mac running on an older system version. macOS 10.14 or older. Aperture uses some 32-bit code and cannot run on macOS 11.6. The last system version compatible with Aperture has been macOS 10.14 Mojave.
May 7, 2021 · Here’s how to force update Aperture from 3.4.5 that is incompatible with Yosemite to 3.6: Drag the Aperture application into the trash but don’t empty the trash (just in case) Launch App Store and click on the Purchases tab, find the Aperture application in the list (assuming Aperture is a paid app) and click “Install”.
Apple terminated Aperture at 3.6. Photos.app is the only replacement, for my uses it's far from ready. I want to be sure I can run Aperture 3.6 for at least 2 more years. I'd like an installer. We have been able to download from the app store, but yesterday Apple transiently removed Aperture from our Previous Purchase list. (It's now back.)
