Each 2024 Revaluation property was visited for an updated front facing photograph, used to update the county’s public webpage: AREIS. New photographs and updated satellite imagery are used to inspect features on each parcel.

As one of the first counties in the United States to convert to digital records, Lucas County paved the way for significant advancements in technology. AREIS Online debuted in August of 1999 and was developed solely with in-house staff.
The Rental Registration Database is updated daily and the registration information for individual properties is available on AREIS Online. If you have a large data request for rentals in a certain area, please contact our office at outreach@co.lucas.oh.us and we will work to fulfill your request.
Property Tax - A tax on the real property owned by residents and businesses. Property tax includes the land and structures. Mill - Property tax is measured in mills. A mill means 1/1,000. Therefore, each mill generates $1 of taxes for every $1,000 of a property's assessed value.
Two tools on AREIS Online, the Levy Estimator and Tax Distributor, indicate the amounts currently paid to the taxing agencies and jurisdictions, and also estimate the effect that proposed levies will have on individual parcels in Lucas County; assuming the proposed levies are in effect in the current year.
