Bartholomew Dupuy (ca.1652-1743) married Susanna Lavillon in 1685 and, as Huguenots, they fled from France to Switzerland and then to England, and in 1700 immigrated to Henrico (later Powhatan) County, Virginia. Descendants lived in Virginia, West Virginia, Kentucky, Missouri and elsewhere.
