The Cameron Street Bridge is a two-lane, 208 metre (682 feet) long continuous steel girder bridge in Prince George, British Columbia. It crosses the Nechako River, connecting the city's downtown on the river's southern side, to the Hart, a residential area on the north side of the river.
DESCRIPTION. The “Nechako Crossing” is a river-crossing site that has continuously served the community of Prince George, and housed various river-crossing infrastructures, since 1910. The site is located on the Nechako River, approximately 3.7 to 4.0 kilometres upstream from the Nechako’s confluence with the Fraser River.
Cameron Street Bridge to Cottonwood Island Park - Access is through a gravel lot under the Cameron Street bridge with a small road in, which is not well marked. This section of trail is 2 kilometers in length and is generally firm and stable comprised of asphalt.
The Cameron Street Bridge construction is well underway and the bridge will be open Aug. 15.
