  2. St. John is an expensive place but not so expensive that the cottage prices made sense. However it was an enjoyable stay. St. John’s is a pretty island with beautiful beaches and a great vibe. If it was priced more appropriately for what you get then i would have scored it higher. (honestly these cottages are not worth more than $150/night).

    Cinnamon Bay Beach is the longest beach on St John! Facilities include camping, cottages, snack bar/grill, souvenir shop, showers, restrooms, public telephones, watersports and snorkeling gear rentals.

    Take North Shore Road ( RTE 20) out of Cruz Bay. The drive is about 4 miles of winding scenic road. You cant miss the speed bumps and signs marking the entrance to Cinnamon Bay beach and camp grounds. Safari taxi service is available.

    • Rent a Kayak or SUP. Upon making your way into Cinnamon Bay Beach from the parking lot, you’ll pass a few little stands. One such place will have a rack of kayaks and stand-up paddle boards available for rent.
    • Go Snorkeling. Snorkeling is a popular thing to do all over the pristine waters around St. John. Good swimmers will find the most sea life to observe in the waters around Cinnamon Cay, which sits about 100 yards from shore.

  3. I was on a cruise ship that docked with n St.Martin. I took the ferry to St.John and was able to find a transfer in St.John to cinnamon bay. There were hardly any tourists. I was able to rent a beach chair and beach tent. Bare in mind you have to return your stuff by 4pm. They had food, drinks and equipment it was a great day.
