Sep 8, 2021 · Scientists have completed the first-ever global, high-resolution map of the world’s shallow tropical coral reefs using satellite imagery and data from more than 450 research teams. The map provides a comprehensive overview of the trends and changes in global coral reef health, and tracks coral bleaching events in near-real-time. The new resource is being used to support conservation projects in more than 30 countries and help reef managers and policymakers.
