Dec 10, 2021 · The Maine CDC is reporting 2,148 new coronavirus cases on Friday – a new record high. That surpasses the previous single-day record set on Thursday, of 1,460. Today’s report brings the seven-day case average to 963 - by far the highest since the pandemic began.
Sep 29, 2021 · The seven-day average of new infections is now 558. That's an eight-fold increase from two months ago. No additional deaths were reported on Wednesday. The current surge is mostly affecting Maine communities with lower vaccination rates. COVID-19 hospitalizations in Maine remain high, with 225 people receiving inpatient care across the state.
