The mainland section consists of Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar, Thailand, and Vietnam. Tai peoples and Austroasiatic peoples dominate. The maritime region consists of Brunei, East Timor, Indonesia, Malaysia, the Philippines, and Singapore. Some definitions of Southeast Asia include Taiwan at the north.
