    Grants are based on financial need and are either federally or state funded. Grants do not need to be repaid. Options: Cal Grants, Educational Opportunity Grants, Federal Pell Grants, Federal Supplemental Educational Opportunity Grants, State University Grants.

    Loans are based on financial need and are federally or privately funded. Students are required to repay loans. Federal student loans may be available to FAFSA applicants; they are not available to DREAM applicants. Options: Federal Perkins Loan, Direct PLUS, Direct Stafford Loan.
